Donkey CostumesShow the whole world your Inner Ass!
Donkey costumes are especially popular now due to the Shrek movies and Shrek's friend "Donkey," played by Eddie Murphy. Shrek donkey costumes are the rage, but older donkey costumes are still popular, like Eeyore Costumes, named for the donkey in the Winnie The Poo stories. One of the coolest costumes I ever saw was a 2 person donkey costumes I remember as a kid! The donkey costume on the right is a popular example of donkey costumes for adults. It's a Shrek Forever After Adult Donkey Costume, from the movie "Shrek Forever After," although you don't need to know that to love the costume! It come in two sizes, standard, and extra large, and includes the jumpsuit and headpiece with donkey ears. I love the hooved hands and feet!
Kids love it, as they do the movie (I really liked the movie
too), so it's great that you can also get the
Shrek Forever After Child
Donkey Costume. It's available in kid friendly sizes.
Infants and Toddlers do well with animal costumes I think, and this Infant/Toddler Donkey Costume borders on too cute! It's an officially licensed Shrek costume like the ones above, not that baby's care, and comes in sizes 6-12 months and 2-4T. Made of polyester, and hand washable. It includes the soft romper and the headpiece. Make sure to take pictures! This is great as a Halloween costume and well beyond.
It's for 12-18 month olds, come with everything pictured except baby and socks, and is easily hand washable. A classic Winnie the Poo character, Eeyore the Donkey makes a great costume for your little one. How, seriously, for an infant or toddler do you want the standard donkey or the Eeyore to the left? Both are great choices, and it comes down to which you prefer. They will probably like each equally. Now mine are a bit beyond toddler, but I think I'd go for the Eeyore costume, but it's hard to say. I could go for either. So, why do we like donkey costumes? They have been popular forever. Well, donkeys, although perhaps not that common in many places, like the US, have a reputation for being hard working and honest animals, with an admirable tenacity. Also their independence (or stubbornness as some might say) is commendation. Donkeys are a reoccurring theme in stories, like the Christmas Donkey, Donkey in Shrek, and of course Eeyore in Winnie the Poo. They also been domesticated for over 5000 years (yes, fine thousand!). Donkeys are popular in religion and myth, proverbs, films, literature, fable and folklore. And donkeys are "quite intelligent, cautious, friendly, playful, and eager to learn" (ref:Wikipedia). And of course, it is kind of funny that donkeys are officially called "Asses" :) Top 50 Products for Halloween! |
